The Changlang Arunachal Pradesh Region

The Changlang Region lies on the southern border of Arunachal Pradesh near the Indian state of Assam. This area is less mountainous than the rest of the state, with many flat plains and smaller hills. Temperatures rise significantly in the day and cool quickly at night.

The people of the Changlang Region primarily work cultivating crops. Tea plantations are especially common in the hilly areas.

Heavy rain falls just one part of the year—from July to September—during monsoon season. This is the only time that the ground is fertile enough to produce crops. So farmers work from early morning until late at night to produce a harvest that will last them the rest of the year.
