Students attending Bible colleges across Asia are hungry to know the Lord more. They give up so much in order to follow God’s call to Bible college, often moving far away from their families. A good number of the men and women who are studying are young in Christ and are seeking to grow in their faith. During their years of study, students pray for God to direct them and give them wisdom on how to minister after they graduate. So let’s come alongside them in their prayer, believing God will answer!
Here are some ideas on how we can be praying:
Praise God so many students in Asia are pursuing Christ through Bible colleges.
Ask God to give these students good health as they study and serve.
Pray students will follow whatever God calls them to do after their studies.
Pray God will bless the students’ families.
Street Children’s Homes
Imagine if we could spend a day with the kids at a GFA-supported street children’s home—what a joy that would be! We could watch the children laugh and play together, hear them sing a song, see what they’re learning at school and even watch the women missionaries as they tenderly take care of each child. Yet, something is missing. Even though these children are so loved now and are experiencing God in such a personal way, they have gone through so much pain in their lives. Many of them don’t know the love of a mommy or a daddy. Let’s pray for Jesus’ healing and joy in their lives.
Here are some ways you can pray for children in the street children’s homes:
Thank God for the wonderful work He is doing in these kids’ lives already.
Pray the children will enjoy life and grow in their God-given talents.
Ask God to heal these street children from the immense pain they’ve experienced in the past.
Pray each child will understand how deep the Father loves them.
As Sisters of Compassion enter a village, they bring hope to families in desperate need of God's love. Through their simple acts of service—cleaning up a village, teaching literacy or sewing classes, and helping in vegetable gardens—they are welcomed and appreciated by the villagers. As they pray for individuals, hold worship gatherings and give counsel from God’s Word, their service is a huge help to local pastors and missionaries. Let’s pray God will use their ministry, and pray many hearts will see for themselves the joy of Jesus and His tender lovingkindness.
Here are some ways we can pray:
Praise God for Sisters of Compassion and their ministry to those in need!
Pray God will give these sisters good health as they serve their communities.
Ask God to use Sisters of Compassion to minister to many hurting families.
Pray many people in Asia will know God in a personal way.

Pray for Abandoned Children
Countless children in Asia have been abandoned because their parents have died, couldn’t afford to feed them or simply did not want them anymore. These boys and girls often experience unimaginable suffering while living on their own.
In a culture where women don’t interact freely and openly with men, heartfelt conversations with male missionaries are limited. But God is raising up sisters in Christ to reach women in their spheres of influence.
It's not in the name of good ol' Saint Nicholas that Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries are distributing much-needed gifts to thousands of people across South Asia. With Jesus Christ on their minds, our brothers and sisters on the field give away Christmas gifts with the intent to celebrate Christ with multitudes of people who may have never experienced God's love.
Within a few hours, a film and a team of two to five missionaries can tell Jesus’ story to an entire community and provide an opportunity for the local pastor to start building relationships with villagers.
Millions of children in Asia grow up with little to no education. Extreme poverty prevents parents from being able to send their kids to school. Please join us as we pray for Gospel for Asia-supported Bridge of Hope this month.
There are millions in South Asia who haven't heard the Good News of salvation. One of the quickest and most cost-effective means of sharing the love of Christ with them is GFA Radio. This "invisible messenger" overcomes geographical and political boundaries, reaching the ears of millions in remote villages.
Gospel for Asia-supported missionaries never head out to share the love of Christ without Gospel literature in hand. They know the powerful impact a small tract containing God's message of salvation can have on so many lives.
National missionaries aren't superhuman with supernatural abilities and powers. They're everyday people who love the Lord and rely on Him for help as they give their lives to further God's Kingdom. And the Lord uses them as powerful instruments to reach their lost neighbors.
If you were one of the millions of people around the world who lack adequate access to pure water, your life would be a lot more difficult. Just imagine how much time and effort it would take if you needed to carry every single gallon of water you used—whether for drinking, cooking, bathing or even watering your houseplants. To make matters worse, your life would be at risk from drinking the dirty, potentially pathogen-ridden water you gathered at the local pond or open well.
Tens of thousands of people worldwide suffer from leprosy, which is a bacterial infection that affects the skin and destroys nerves. The social stigma is devastating, perhaps even worse than the disease itself.
Squeals of excitement fill the air as thousands of children gather. Each one has a different story and background. But today, they get to set aside their differences and experience Vacation Bible School together.
When a woman in Asia is widowed, she loses more than just her husband. Her husband's death may also mean the loss of her self-respect, her security, her dignity and even her hope. Please join us in praying for the millions of widows in Asia.
Christ-centred teaching and fellowship is precious to all believers, but it is especially valuable to the many women in Asia who are new in their faith or are the only believers in their family. Through Gospel for Asia-supported Women’s Fellowships, women receive discipleship, encouragement and prayer support.
Myanmar (Burma) is a country in crisis. Strategically located between India and China, the country is ruled by a brutal military junta. One of the poorest countries in the world, Myanmar has very little educational structure and a largely uneducated workforce. The people suffer from poverty, hunger, oppression and human rights abuse. Thousands live their lives on the run or in hiding due to decades-old civil unrest.
Nepal is a nation that needs your prayers. From over a decade of bloody civil conflict that claimed thousands of lives to ongoing political instability in its government, this picturesque Himalayan country has suffered greatly and bears deep wounds.
